Bentoel Cigarettes

Bentoel Group is one of the major players in the Indonesian cigarette industry, with more than 75 years of experience. Understanding the importance of bringing professionalism into the company’s operation, Bentoel Group has been fully transformed from a family-run company into a professional business entity.

In 2009, London-based British American Tobacco, the world’s second-largest tobacco company, acquired a 99.74% stake in Bentoel. In early 2010, the company was merged with PT BAT Indonesia Tbk, with Bentoel continuing to operate as the surviving entity; however, Bentoel had revived the BAT Indonesia name ever since.

Headquartered in Jakarta with a manufacturing plant located in Malang, the local brands include Bentoel Biru, Bentoel SJT, Ardath, Tali Jagat, and Star Mild. Bentoel cigarettes also manufactures international brands such as Lucky Strike and Dunhill.
